Painesville, OH – Edinboro dropped a 11-6 result to Lake Erie College on Saturday evening. A surge of goals in the second and fourth quarter saw Lake Erie pull away. Rylee Jone lead the scoring for Edinboro with three goals with
Caroline Zentis scoring two and
Emma Lamica with one.
Edinboro stayed in close contention for the lead until the fourth quarter. The Fighting Scots lead 2-1 early in the first thanks to goals from
Rylee Jones and
Emma Lamica. Lake Erie began to pull away thanks to four goals without reply in the second quarter.
Edinboro got to within two goals going into the fourth. Lake Erie found four more goals without reply which sealed their victory.
Rylee Jones and
Emma Lamica each had an assist in the game to add to their goals. Zentis also had five groundballs alongside
Lexi Boyk and
Kenna Sinisgalli.
Rylee Jones and
Haylee Wilson lead the team with two caused turnovers each.
Edinboro's home opener of the season is set for March 15 with the game set to start at 4 p.m. against Seton Hill.
