The Scots opened the lead up in the fifth again with two outs.
Morgan Spitler reached on a two-out infield single. After a Mountain Cat error put runners on first and third, Schaefer was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Maura Pasquale drew a walk to force across a run and
Mackenzie Quider made the score 4-0 with a single up the middle plating
Lauren Bush and Schaefer.
Pitt-Johnstown scored on a Kayla Miehl home run to lead off the seventh, but Scot pitcher

In game two, UPJ scored first in the bottom of the third on a successful double steal. The Mountain Cats took advantage of a pair of Edinboro errors to score three unearned runs in the fifth to make it 4-0.
Edinboro trimmed the lead to 4-1 in the top of the sixth when
Maura Pasquale doubled home
Kayla Terwilliger. UPJ scored twice in the sixth to make the lead 6-1.

The Scots are back in action on Friday when they are slated to host IUP at 2 p.m.
