Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team completed another weekend at home with a vigorous 5-2 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan College. With the win, the Edinboro men improve to (10-0) at home and (12-3) overall.
Doubles
The Scots jumped out with an early advantage after earning the doubles point by earning two out of three matches.
Ruben Acuna and Kaio Sacchi edged Andreas Hald Dige and Anthony McIntosh 6-3 as they won their fourth consecutive doubles match.
Thibault Dorval and Manav Sreekumar won a 7-6 (2) tiebreaker over Emmanuel Mallya and Khiro Karasawa. Dorval and Sreekumar earned their ninth win of the season.
Bruno Sabio and Rocco Palombarini fell short to Camilo Salvi and Kevin Lin 2-6.
Singles
In Singles Edinboro would clinch the victory with four out of six match wins. Sabio prevailed over the Bobcat's top player in Karasawa with a 6-1, 6-4 final. Sabio grabbed his fifth consecutive win in singles.
Acuna followed him up with his eleventh straight match win in singles as he defeated Mallya 6-3, 6-4.
Gustavo Martins edged Lin 6-4, 6-1 as he earned his tenth win of the season in singles.
Dorval kept the pattern going with a smooth 6-0, 6-2 win over McIntosh as he grabbed his tenth win of the season.
