Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro men took care of business on Senior Day with a 7-0 sweep over PSAC opponent Mercyhurst. With the win the Edinboro men improve to (13-3) overall and (4-0) in PSAC play, as they make it six consecutive wins in a row.
Doubles
In doubles the Scots won two out of three to take the first point of the match. Bruno Sabio and Rocco Palombarini cruised to their eleventh win of the season as they defeated Plasheski and Shultz 6-2.
Ruben Acuna and Kaio Sacchi capped off the doubles point with a 7-5 win over Briones and Cabue as they improved to (12-3) on the season.
Singles
In singles Edinboro finished with six straight wins. Acuna won his twelfth consecutive singles match with a brilliant 6-2, 6-2 final over Periera.
Sabio defeated Davis 6-0, 3-6, 4-1 after a retirement in the third set as he earned his eleventh singles win of the season.
Manav Sreekumar was dominant in his 6-2, 6-4 win over Plasheski and is now (10-5) in singles.
Gustavo Martins prevailed in an extra set with a 5-7, 6-1, 10-3 win over Cabue as Martins improves to (11-4) in singles.
Thibault Dorval also improves to (11-4) in singles after his 6-3, 6-3 victory over Shultz.
Sacchi grabbed a 6-3, 6-4 win over Richards in his first singles match of the season.
