Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim teams dropped a 110-92 dual at Shippensburg on Friday and fell 135-95 to visiting Gannon on Saturday.
On Friday, the Scot quartet of
Leia Ross,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek combined to swim a time of 1:51.25 in the 200-yard medley realy to finish second.
Ross also picked up a first-place finish individually in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 59.58. Dilts posted a time of 1:01.58 in the 100-yard butterfly to also grab first-place.
Lara De Carne scored first-place points in the 1,650-yard freestyle posting a time of 18:55.19. She also swam a time of 56.54 in the 100-freestyle to place second.
Schrecongost touched the wall in 1:59.91 taking first-place in the 200-yard freestyle. She also finished second in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:07.92.
Hanek added a second-place finish in the 50-freestyle with a time of 24.97.
Emma Beggs finished in a time of 4:56.49 in the 400-yard medley to grab second-place.
Edinboro closed out the meet with De Carne, Dilts,
Abigail Greene and Hanek taking first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:41.39.
Against Gannon, Ross, Beggs, Schrecongost and Dilts finished second in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:51.81.
Schrecongost added a first-place swim in the 200 IM touching the wall in 2:15.35. Ross also tallied a pair of first-place finishes with a time of 2:11.71 in the 200 backstroke and 2:29.60 in the 200 breaststroke.
De Carne also picked up a pair of first-place times. She finished in a time of 1:56.62 in the 200-yard freestyle and then touched the wall in a time of 54.23 in the 100-freestyle.
Hanek posted a time of 25.00 in the 50 freestyle to take first. She finished just behind Ross in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:12.71. Beggs was second to Ross in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:32.50.
The meet closed with the Scots scoring first in the 400-freestyle relay with Hanek, Schrecongost, Dilts and De Carne finishing in 3:40.45.
The Scots are back in action next Saturday with a trip to Clarion for the PennWest Duals.
