Clarion, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim team scored a 172-76 victory over California (Pa.) and fell 222-77 to host Clarion Saturday afternoon at the PennWest Duals.
The Scot relay team of
Leia Ross,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Lara De Carne started the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.27.
Schrecongost tallied a first-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.02. She notched a time of 1:01.68 in the 100-yard butterfly to finish second.
Ross touched the wall in 2:30.07 in the 200-breaststroke to earn first-place honors and she was second to Schrecongost in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:09.27.
Izzy Hanek had a solid day posting a time of 25.01 in the 50-freestyle to finish second. She was also second in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:01.10. Hanek also finished third in the 200-backstroke with a time of 2:14.28.
The Scots also had the second-place finisher in the 200-breaststroke in
Emma Beggs. She finished in a time of 2:32.84. Dilts swam a 2:26.93 in the 200-butterfly good for third.
Hanek, Schrecongost, Dilts and De Carne closed out the meet with a time of 1:39.32 in the 200-freestyle relay to grab second.
The Scots will be back in the pool on Feb. 14 for the PSAC Championship Meet in Carlisle, Pa.
