California, Pa. – The Edinboro soccer team scored in the first 30 seconds and the final 45 seconds to claim a 2-1 victory over host California (PA) on Saturday.
Reece Enochs got the Scots off to a fast start right off the opening kick.
Kylee Cross sent a long ball over the top and Enochs settled it and chipped a ball over the keeper to put Edinboro up 1-0 just 30 seconds in.
The Scots held the lead into the half. Adriana Marina tied the game for Cal in the 68
th minute finishing an Izabella DeGlopper pass.
With time winding down in the game,
Emily Vogel buried a shot inside the left post off a
Madison Felton free kick leaving just 42 seconds left on clock.
Sandra Malave made six saves and allowed just one goal to score the win in net for the Scots.
Edinboro is back in action on Wednesday when they host Gannon at Sox Harrison Stadium at 6 p.m.
