Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim team scored a 177-89 victory over Westminster in their first dual meet of the season.
The Scots got off to a fast start with the 200-yard medley relay teams finishing one-two with the quartet of
Izzy Hanek,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Katelyn Reott taking first with a time of 1:51.23.
Kirsten Johnson,
Emma Beggs,
Baila Bugara and Abigail Green touched the wall in 1:55.86.
Cara Della Toffalo placed first in the 1000-freestyle with a time of 11:32.08. She also claimed a first-place finish in the 500-free touching the wall in 5:32.19.
Burgara added a time of 5:34.26 in the 500-free to take second. She also placed first in the 200-butterfly with a time of 2:22.52.
In the 200-freestyle, Hanek finished in 2:04.99 to take the top spot. She also took first in the 200-backstrokewith a time of 2:14.59.
Reott also earned a first-place finish in the 100-backstroke posting a time of 1:00.09. She added a second-place finish in the 100-free with a 55.08 swim.
In the 100-breaststroke,
Alexis Schrecongost touched the wall first with a time of 1:08.86. She also claimed the top spot with a time of 2:19.15 in the 200 individual medley.
Dilts brought home the top spot with a 25.14 in the 50-freestyle. She also sprinted her way to first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.35. The 100-yard butterfly was Dilt's third first-place finish with a time of 1:01.73.
Beggs raced to first in the 200-breaststroke finishing in 2:31.17. She added a second-place swim in the 100-breaststroke in a time of 1:09.97.
The Scots are back in action on Nov. 1 with a trip to Bloomsburg. Meet time is slated for 4 p.m.
