Johnstown, Pa. – The Edinboro volleyball team fell 3-0 to host Pitt-Johnstown Friday night in PSAC West action.
In the first set, Edinboro held a 7-6 advantage after a
Jessica Hardin kill. The Mountain Cats responded with six straight points to grab a 12-7 lead and took the first set 25-20.
UPJ jumped out 10-6 in the second and took the set 25-10. The Scots led 8-7 in the third, but an 8-1 run by the Mountain Cats made it 14-9 UPJ enroute to a 25-19 win.
Hardin led the Edinboro offense with seven kills.
Erika Lindqvist and
Makayla Neelands each tallied six kills.
Abigale Soboleski notched 20 set assists to go with 12 digs.
Carly Pry also notched 12 digs.
The Scots return to action on Saturday with a trip to IUP. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
