Women's Lacrosse Falls in PSAC Opener at Seton Hill

Greensburg, PA – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team fell at the Seton Hill 21-2 in the PSAC West opener at Dick's Sporting Goods Field.
 
How it Happened
  • Seton Hill jumped out early scoring 10 goals and holding the Fighting Scots off the board in the first  quarter.
  • The Griffins extended the lead with a goal by Carley O'Mara goal in the second before Rylee Jones got Edinboro on the board with a coast-to-coast goal at the 9:46 mark of the second.
  • Seton Hill scored twice more in the second to go into the half leading 13-1.
  • The Griffins scored five times in the third and Mya Hibsman scored the opening goal of the fourth to push the lead to 19-1.
  • The Scots scored once more in the fourth quarter on an Olivia Kaminsky free position shot in the fourth quarter.
Stat Leaders
  • For the Scots, Jones and Kaminsky each tallied a goal.
  • Jones led the team with three groundballs while Natalia Corrales scooped up a pair. They each led the team with three caused turnovers as well.
  • Ruby DePalma led the Griffins with six points on two goals and four assists.
In the Net
  • Addy Ours had a career high eight saves on the night and took the loss.
  • Alllison Hathaway picked up the win in net for the Griffins making one save and allowing one goal.
Up Next 
  • The Fighting Scots are back in action on Saturday at 1 p.m., at Sox Harrison Stadium when they host IUP.
