Erie, Pa. -- The Edinboro softball team dropped two games on the road at Gannon Tuesday afternoon in PSAC West action at McConnell Family Stadium.
The Scots fell 8-0 in the opener before dropping a 5-1 decision in the second half of the twin bill.
How it Happened Game One
Gannon jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and added five more in the fourth. Maggie Lenda kept the Scots off the board holding the Scots to three hits over five innings of work.
Stat Leaders
Adeline Maguire,
Madalyn Valoroso and
Isabella Becker each tallied a hit for the Scots.
Lauren Bush was hooked with the loss in the circle allowing eight runs, seven earned, over 3.2 innings work.
How it Happened Game Two
Valoroso staked the Scots to an early 1-0 lead with a single that plated Lucy Higley in the top of the second. The Golden Knights scored all five runs in the fourth keyed by a Gabi Vasi grand slam to set the final.
Stat Leaders
The Scots scattered six hits over the lineup with Valoroso picking up an RBI and Higley recording a run scored.
Macy Sral was in the circle allowing five runs to eight hits with five streikouts and three walks over six innings of work.
