Bloomsburg, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team defeated Millersville 4-0 on Saturday to claim their fourth straight PSAC Championship.
The Scots scored a win at number two doubles with Gordan Mileusnic and
Fabricio Sosa Pons defeating Sebas Castro and LIna Morin 6-3. The Marauders duo of Dylan Tull and Zach Pernia notched a 6-3 win over
Bruno Sabio and
Rocco Palombarini. Stanislas
Noel and
Thibault Dorval clinched the doubles point for Edinboro with a 6-4 victory over Valentin Ebner and Jasper de Koning.
It was Noel that scored the first singles win for the Scots 6-0, 6-1 over Morin at number three singles. Mileusnic scored a 6-2, 6-2 win over Pernia at number two. Dorval clinched the title for Edinboro with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Breno Maciel at number five.
"I am beyond impressed by the attitude and effort this group of talented young met have put into this season," said head coach
Travis Myler. "Coming in February, I was immediately taken by the professionalism and athleticism they had. I knew waht their goals were and want to do everything in my power to make sure they achieve them."
The Scots were ranked second in the last set of Atlantic Regional rankings and are poised to return to the NCAA Regional.
