Clarion, Pa. – The Edinboro women's soccer team scored a 3-2 victory over host Clarion Wednesday night in PSAC West action.
The Scots got on the board first when
Reece Enochs scored her third of the season assisted by
Kylee Cross in the sixth minute of the match.
Edinboro would hold that 1-0 lead into the half. Clarion tied the game a minute into the second on a goal by Tessa Heffron.
Teaghan Watkins gave the Scots the lead back with a goal in the 54
th minute assisted by Enochs. In the 72
nd minute,
Baylee Welling extended the lead to 3-1 with an unassisted tally in the 72
nd minute.
The Golden Eagles cut the lead to 3-2 just 19 seconds after the Edinboro tally, but the Scots held on for the win.
Enochs finished the night with a goal and an assist to lead the offense.
Sandra Malave scored her first collegiate win in net making five saves.
The Scots return to action next Wednesday when they host Slippery Rock at Sox Harrison Stadium.
