Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro volleyball team will play a pair of PSAC West matches this weekend against Clarion and California (PA) Friday and Saturday.
The Games
The Scots play host to Clarion in their PSAC West opener at 6 p.m. Friday inside McComb Fieldhouse. Then on Saturday Edinboro travels to Cal for a 5 p.m. matchup with the Vulcans in the Convocation Center.
The Last Time Out
The Scots improved their overall record to 9-4 with a straight set win over Ursuline on Tuesday.Â
Makayla Neelands led the offense with 12 kills to go with five digs and one solo block.
Kasey Smith tallied eight kills on a .636 hitting percentage with two block assists.
Erika Lindqvist finished with a .583 hitting percentage and seven kills to go with three total blocks.

Laney Burns led the Scots in assists with 17 whileÂ
Abigale Soboleski notched 15 helpers.Â
Carly Pry lead the defensive effort with 15 digs.
Statistical Leaders
Neelands is off to a fast start to the season notching 210 kills for an average of 4.38 kills per set to go with 20 service aces, 135 digs and 21 total blocks.
Jessica Hardin adds 149 kills, 138 digs and seven blocks. Lindqvist leads the team with 44 total blocks to go with 110 kills and a .312 hitting percentage. Soboleski and Burns split the setting duties with Soboleski notching 268 assists and Burns checking in with 214. Pry leads the Scots in digs with 183.
The Golden Eagles
Clarion is 7-4 overall and 1-0 in PSAC West play after defeating Cal 3-1 on Tuesday night. Cassidy Snider led the offense with 28 kills whle notching 16 digs and one service ace. Kylie Barto triggered the offense with 34 assists. Finley Kearny tallied a team-high five blocks and Haley Fledderjohann added 19 digs.
The Vulcans
Cal enters the weekend 3-7 overall and 0-1 in PSAC West play after falling 3-1 to Clarion on Tuesday. Anna-Marie Petricevic tallied 12 kills to lead the offense. Sophia Johnson notched five blocks and Caroline Mercer added 15 digs to the defensive effort. Adrianna Favata paced the Vulcans with 20 helpers.
