Kutztown, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swim team defeated host Kutztown and dropped a decision to Bloomsburg in a tri-meet Saturday afternoon.
The Scots came away 112-92 victors over Kutztown but fell 116-88 against Bloomsburg.
Edinboro got off to a good start with the 200-medley relay team of
Katelyn Reott, Alexis Schrcongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek placing first in a time of 1:48.86.
In the 200-freestyle,
Eliza Miller was the first to touch the wall with a PSAC qualifying time of 1:58.04. Schrecongost also posted a PSAC swim in the 200-free finishing fourth in 2:00.75.
Reott posted a PSAC time of 24.34 to place first in the 50-freestyle. In the 200-medley,
Uxue Navarro placed third with a time of 2:15.27 also a PSAC qualifying time. Navarro also turned in a conference qualifying time of 1:00.74 in the 100-fly taking fourth.
In the 100-freestyle, Dilts posted a time of 55.19, a PSAC qualifying mark, to take third. Hanak added a first-place finish in the 100-backstroke in a time of 1:00.63. Miller and Navarro were second and third in the 500-freestyle with times of 5:18.89 and 5:25.72 respectively.
Schrecongost turned in a third-place swim in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:09.49. The 200-freestyle relay team of Hanek, Miller, Dilts and Reott finished in first with a swim of 1:39.08.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they host Roberts Wesleyan at 1 p.m. inside McComb Fieldhouse.
