Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro men's tennis team scored a 4-1 victory over Bloomsburg on Friday to advance to the Atlantic Regional II Final.

The Scots struck first with Mathis Amsellem and Stanislas Noel teaming up for a 6-3 victory over Iu Badies and Denis Dementev at number two doubles. Leon Grassnickel and Rocco Palombarini won 7-6 dominating the tiebreak 7-1 to secure the doubles point for Edinboro.

Thomas Buchard scored the first singles win of the match for the Scots claiming a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Badies. Grassnickel extended the Edinboro lead to 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Yitzak Higuera.

Bloomsburg scored a singles win at number four with Albert Martin defeating Fabricio Sosa Pons 6-4, 6-4. Arsen Tabaldyev closed out the match for the Scots scoring a 6-0, 2-6, 6-4 victory over Fernando Barros at number six.

The Scots will take on Fairmont State, who were 4-0 winners over Shaw, for a trip to the NCAA Championship in Alamonte Springs, Fla. Match time is set for 12 p.m.
