Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro swim teams return to the pool on Friday and Saturday for PSAC competition.
The Meets
The Scots will host Gannon in a dual meet inside McComb Fieldhouse Friday at 6 p.m. The meet will be
broadcast on the PSAC Digital Network. On Saturday, the Scots will make their way to California for the Penn West Duals against Cal and Clarion. Meet time has been moved to noon due to impending winter weather. It will also be
broadcast on the PSAC Digital Network.
Senior Day
The Scots will honor the senior members of the teams prior to the home meet on Friday. The seniors being honored are Brian Bell,
Baila Bugara, Cara Della Toffalo,
Danny Hastings,
Elijah Innis,
Naomi Polito and
Alexis Schrecongost.
Last Time Out
The last time out for the Edinboro women they claimed a 107.5-92.5 victory over host Shippensburg.
The quartet of
Katelyn Reott,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek got the Scots out to a fast start winning the 200-medley relay in a time of 1:49.51. In the 1,000-freestyle, Cara Della Toffalo was second in a time of 11:49.70. Edinboro claimed the top two spots in the 200-freestyle with Navarro swimming a 2:02.22 and Hanek a 2:05.25.
Reott and Schrecongost went one-two in the 50-freestyle. Reott touched the wall in 24.33 and Schrecongost in 25.20.
Eliza Miller finished first in the 200-IM with a time of 2:17.26. Navarro turned in a 1:01.39 for her second first-place swim of the day in the 100-butterfly.
The 100-freestyle had Dilts finishing first in 56.64 to take first. Hanek added a 56.37 to take second. Reott swam the 100-backstroke and placed first in a time of 1:01.13. Miller picked up another first-place swim with a 5:17.22 in the 500-freestyle. Della Toffalo added a third-place finish with a time of 5:34.46.
The men dropped a 105.5-88.5 decision to the Raiders. In the 1,000-freestyle,
Tyler Hill touched the wall in 10:30.96 placing first.
Andrew Ketler added a third-place swim in the 200-freestyle with a time of 1:50.42.
Braden Hain swam a 22.07 to take second in the 50-freestyle.
In the 200-IM,
Caleb Ludlow was third in a time of 2:03.88. Ketler turned in another first-place swim with a 52.45 in the 100-butterfly. Hain was third in the 100-backstroke finishing in 54.94. Hill touched the wall in 5:04.44 to take first in the 500-freestyle. The Scots took the top three spots in the 100-breaststroke. Ludlow was first in 1:01.30.
Christian Connell was second in 1:01.47 and Hillibush third in 1:02.47.
