Edinboro, Pa. – The Edinboro women's swimming team scored a 107-98 victory over Gannon on Senior Night inside McComb Fieldhouse on Friday.
The Scots opened the meet with a first-place finish from the quartet of
Katelyn Reott,
Alexis Schrecongost,
Lillian Dilts and
Izzy Hanek with a time of 1:47.48 in the 200-medley relay.
Eliza Miller kept the momentum going with a swim of 10:48.27 in the 1,000-freestyle to earn first-place points. The Scots claimed the top two spots in the 200-freestyle with
Uxue Navarro touched the wall first in 2:01.82 while
Naomi Polito finished in 2:02.75.
In the 50-freestyle, Reott claimed the top spot posting a time of 23.99. Schrecongost was second in the 200-IM with a time of 2:15.90 and
Emma Beggs was third with a time of 2:18.51. Navarro brought home a third-place finish in the 200-butterfly touching the wall in 2:16.90.
Dilts gave Edinboro second-place points in the 100-freestyle with a time of 53.91. Hanek swam a 2:11.63 in the 200-backstroke to place second.
Miller claimed another distance first winning the 500-freestyle in a time of 5:14.70. Cara Della Toffalo was third with a time of 5:32.77. Beggs and Schrecongost went one-two in the 200-breaststroke clocking at 2:29.35 and 2:31.16 respectively.
Reott, Miller, Dilts and Hanek teamed up to win the 200-freestyle relay in 1:38.25 to close out the meet.
Anna Riedell,
Regan Repak,
Anna Mehlenbacher and
Peyton Koballa swam a 1:44.88 to take third.
The Scots return to action on Saturday at the Penn West Duals at California (Pa.). Swimming is slated to begin at noon.
