EDINBORO, Pa. — Edinboro (9-8-2, 8-7-1) defeated Indiana (PA) (7-7-4, 7-6-3) 1-0 on Saturday. The Fighting Scots went from 75:38 to 86:51 without conceding while facing eight Indiana (PA) attacking actions in the second half.
Brianna Garey handled an early Indiana (PA) shot from Ayla Cook at 1:05, and the Scots put their first chance on frame when
Jada Cole was saved at 10:13. After Indiana (PA) generated another attempt and a corner, Cole scored off
Grace Madison's assist at 12:48 to put the Scots ahead 1-0. Indiana (PA) pressed late with 4 shots and two corners, but Garey made three saves in that stretch as the Fighting Scots reached halftime with a 1-0 lead.
With the Scots ahead 1-0, Garey saved Indiana (PA)'s shot at 55:12 before Cole put an attempt on frame at 56:08. Indiana (PA) continued to press with four shots and a corner over the next six minutes, but Garey made three more saves to keep the score 1-0. The Fighting Scots later generated a stretch of pressure from 67:07 to 73:21, with Cole forcing saves 2 saves. Indiana (PA) made the final push with seven shots, three offsides and a corner from 75:38 to 86:51, but Garey recorded three saves in that stretch and the Scots finished off the 1-0 result at 90:00.
Cole scored the game-winning goal and led the Fighting Scots with six shots, including five on goal.
Grace Madison recorded the assist on the Scots' goal. Garey made 12 saves over 90 minutes and finished with a shutout.
The Scot will be heading to Kutztown on 11/3/26 6:00PM for the quarter final game.
