EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-4 decision to visiting IUP Saturday in the team's season finale.
The Crimson Hawks jumped out early outscoring the Scots 8-0 in the first quarter. IUP added the first five goals of the second quarter capped by an Averie Moul tally with 3:16 left in the quarter.
Jacqui Detelich scored unassisted with 1:46 left in the second to cut the halftime deficit to 13-1.
Natalia Farr scored the opening goal of the second half unassisted 45 seconds into the third. Macenzie Haragos scored for IUP to extend the lead to 14-2. Detelich scored her second goal of the game with 6:01 to go in the third.
In the fourth, IUP scored a pair of goals to make the score 16-3 with 7:10 on the clock.
Angelina Anderson scored at the 4:04 mark to cut the lead to 16-4. The Crimson Hawks added a pair of insurance goals to set the final.
Detelich scored a pair of goals on five shots to go with two groundballs. Farr added two points on a goal and an assist on six shots. She added three groundballs and three caused turnovers.
