Jalen Middlebrooks is in her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the women’s lacrosse team. She is working on her Master’s Degree in School Counseling.

Middlebrooks was a four-year starter on defense at St. Bonaventure and a teammate of Edinboro head coach LeighAnn Stauffer. She started all 65 matches in her career matches. She ended her career with six goals and an assist for seven points, along with 105 ground balls, 72 caused turnovers, and 52 draw controls. She was a two-year captain.

As a senior, the native of Newington, Connecticut earned second team All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors. She started all 17 matches and led the Bonnies with 31 caused turnovers and was second on the team in ground balls with 42. She scored a pair of goals. As a junior, she scored four goals with an assist, with 39 ground balls, 17 draw controls, and 23 caused turnovers.   

She started 17 matches as a sophomore in 2015, totaling 28 draw controls and 24 ground balls. As a freshman, she appeared in 14 matches and accumulated 15 ground balls.

Middlebrooks was a former standout at Newington (Ct.) High School, where she was named the Most Outstanding Female Athlete while earning all-conference honors as a junior and senior in lacrosse and soccer.

Middlebrooks graduated from St. Bonaventure in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
