Brittani Genco is serving as a student assistant coach for the 2015 season while completing work on her bachelor’s degree in Human Performance. In addition, she is finishing minors in Coaching and Personal Training/Fitness, and looks to graduate in December.
A three-year member of the Fighting Scots after transferring from Slippery Rock, Genco will serve as a team manager and assist with coaching the goalkeepers.
A year ago, Genco saw action in 17 matches as a reserve midfielder and forward. She finished with six shots on goal. In 2013, she played in two matches with a pair of shots on goal. She was a part of NCAA Playoff teams in 2012 and ’13.
Genco played her freshman year in 2011 at Slippery Rock, appearing in ten matches. The Rock reached the PSAC Championship match and reached the NCAA Sweet 16.
Genco is a native of Parkton, Md. and helped lead Hereford High School to a pair of regional championships and state semifinals appearances in 2008 and 2009. She holds her coaching licenses in USSF “F” and “E”.
