EDINBORO, Pa. (Oct. 23, 2013) – The Fighting Scots volleyball team travels to IUP and Clarion this weekend for a pair of PSAC contests. Edinboro takes on IUP at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 24, before moving to Clarion for another 7 p.m. start on Saturday, October 25. The Fighting Scots come into the weekend with a 15-12 overall record and a 6-7 mark in PSAC play. IUP enters Friday's match at 8-17 on the season and 4-9 in the conference, while Clarion sports a 23-2 ledger and a 12-1 PSAC record.

Megan Branchick fronted the Boro attack with 18 kills and
Marah Maycock added 11.
Haley Marett led four Fighting Scots with double-digit digs with 31 on the night, followed by Branchick and
Tabitha Meeks with 12, and
Katie Felix with 11. Felix also dished out a team-high 43 assists in the win.
Beginning with this weekend's matches at IUP and Clarion, the Scots round out the season with nine contests against PSAC opponents.
Despite a sub-.500 record on the season, IUP comes into Friday's match against Edinboro having won four out of its last five matches. The Crimson Hawks most recently swept Shepherd, 3-0 in a non-conference match on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.
Saturday's match at Clarion features the top two attacking teams in the PSAC. The Fighting Scots rank first in total kills with 1276 on the season followed by the Eagles with 1233 kills. Edinboro libero
Haley Marett paces all PSAC players with 578 digs on the year, while
Katie Felix ranks sixth in the conference with 818 assists. Clarion is led by junior Laura Subject, who leads the PSAC in both assists (961) and aces (44).
Clarion enters the weekend following a loss to non-conference opponent Wheeling Jesuit. The Cardinal topped the Eagles in straight-set fashion, 3-0. The loss marked only the second defeat of the season for the Eagles, who had come into the contest on a nine-match winning streak.
