th of her career, a new school record for wins. Edinboro is now 7-3-0 on the season and 5-3-0 in the PSAC while Pitt-Johnstown is 0-9-0 overall and in conference.
A minute and ten seconds into the game,
Jansen Hartmann was fouled inside the box, giving
Becca Costello an opportunity at a free kick. She capitalized with her third goal of the season to give the Fighting Scots an early 1-0 lead. Later in the first half, Reilee Dupratt delivered a long cross into the box that
Alex Brown was able to reach on a sliding kick, scoring her sixth goal of the season.
Liz Debo then scored her sixth goal of the season as well, pushing the Scots lead to 3-0. With one second remaining in the first half, Pitt-Johnstown picked up a goal from Maura Koshute to make it 3-1 at the break.
The Fighting Scots came out firing in the second half and were finally awarded with a goal by Laurelee Clements at the 75:28 mark. Clements was able to score on a 30-yard free kick for her second of the season. The Lady Cats picked up another goal from Kim Bonnett in the 81
st minute in the to bring it to the final score of 4-2.
Kelly had two saves and allowed one of the goals in her record-setting day. The next record she will be looking to obtain is the shutouts record, as she trails Kate Stukbauer by three shutouts.
Edinboro's next game is Tuesday, October 8 at home against Clarion. The Fighting Scots take a four-game winning streak into the match and the Golden Eagles currently stand at 3-3-3 overall and in the PSAC.
Game Notes:
· Debo scored her 28
th career goal and 58
th career point. She is only two points away from becoming the eighth Fighting Scot to eclipse 60 points.
· Dupratt's assist was her second of the season.
· Brown has now scored in back-to-back games. A week after Debo scored three goals in two games, Brown has done the same this week (one against Pitt-Johnstown and two against Seton Hill).
· Pitt-Johnstown now has lost 12 straight matches. Their two goals in this game were more than they had scored all season.
· Edinboro's four-game winning streak is their longest of the season. This is their longest winning streak since the Fighting Scots opened last season winning their first five.
