ERIE, Pa. (October 13, 2015) – The Edinboro University women's soccer team allowed four first-half goals to top-ranked Gannon as they suffered a 4-0 PSAC road loss to the Golden Knights on a rainy Tuesday night. The Fighting Scots, ranked seventh in the latest Atlantic Regional poll, drop to 8-5-0 overall and 7-4-0 in the PSAC, while the Golden Knights continue their perfect season with a 13-0-0 overall record and a 12-0-0 PSAC record. Gannon took advantage of a strong wind at their back for all four goals.
Tuesday's loss marked the first time this season that Edinboro has lost two consecutive matches. They lost to Bloomsburg on Saturday, 2-1. Gannon continued their unbeaten streak against Edinboro, remaining undefeated against the Fighting Scots since 2006.
Senior midfielder Mani Brueckner, Gannon's leading scorer, put the Golden Knights on the board with a 21st-minute penalty kick for a 1-0 lead. Brueckner struck again in the 32nd minute with a goal from 30 yards out to extend Gannon's lead.

Sarah Baskey into the net that put Gannon up 3-0. Michelle Genetin added a fourth goal to the Golden Knights' total with a header in the 43rd minute off a pass by Hannah Manczka for a 4-0 halftime lead.
Edinboro was outshot by Gannon, 18-9, with the Fighting Scots registering four shots on goal. Baskey totaled eight saves as her record fell to 6-3-0 in goal.
The Fighting Scots will look to end their two-game drought on Saturday, October 17 with a PSAC home match against Kutztown at 1:00 p.m. at Sox Harrison Stadium.
