Kutztown's Alyssa Ryan cut the Fighting Scots' lead in half with a breakaway goal in the 29th minute. Hartmann responded with a 42nd minute goal off a pass by Mutkus, shooting from the left wing that found the upper right corner of the net, to give Edinboro a 3-1 lead at halftime.
A mix of rain and snow throughout the first half turned into heavy snowfall for the second half. But that didn't stop Mutkus from netting her fifth goal of the season, assisted by Brown, in the 75th minute to close out the scoring, giving Edinboro a convincing 4-1 win.
Edinboro led Kutztown in shots, 16-6, with eleven shots on goal. Hartmann's one goal and one assist brings her team-leading scoring totals to 23 points on nine goals and five assists.
