EDINBORO, Pa. (Nov. 3, 2015) – The Edinboro volleyball team celebrated senior night with their 15th straight victory, handling Slippery Rock in four games by scores of 25-15, 25-17, 18-25, and 25-12. The victory boosted Edinboro's record to 28-2 overall and 17-1 in the PSAC West. Slippery Rock is now 10-21 and 3-15, respectively.
Maria ConcheckFour seniors were recognized in pre-game ceremonies –
Maria Concheck,
Katie Felix,
Breanna Gardner, and
Marah Maycock. That foursome helped Edinboro move within one win of the record for consecutive wins. The 2010 team won 16 matches in a row. The Fighting Scots will have a chance to tie that mark on Friday, November 6 when they play at Mercyhurst.
Litwiler finished with a team-high 11 kills, adding 14 digs.
Victoria Severo added 10 kills and 3 block solos. Concheck saw considerable time on Tuesday in place of injured middle hitter
Latoya Hutchinson. She finished with 7 kills and a .350 hitting percentage, in addition to contributing a block solo and 4 block assists.
Sydney Trathen finished with 19 assists, while Maycock had a team-high 22 digs. Maycock moves into fifth place in career digs with 1,512. Freshman
Megan Screptock chipped in with 11 digs.
