GREENSBURG, Pa. (September 15, 2015) – After a first-half shootout that saw them leading at halftime 4-3, the Edinboro University women's soccer team took command in the second half with three unanswered goals to defeat PSAC opponent Seton Hill Tuesday, 7-3. Seton Hill is now 2-3-0 overall and in the PSAC.
The seven-goal victory came as a surprise to many, as Edinboro has been known to be a strong defensive team. The last time the Fighting Scots scored seven goals in one game was on October 15, 2008 against Lake Erie, winning 7-0.
Seton Hill took the lead early with Emily LoPresti shooting one past Edinboro goalie

When the Griffins drew within one, Hartmann responded with her second goal of the game at 31:39. Seton Hill would score one more before the half ended to keep Edinboro at bay with a 4-3 halftime score.
The second half would begin with an Edinboro goalie change. Head coach
Gary Kagiavas brought in
Sarah Baskey to replace Davis. At the 54:34 mark, Hartmann made it a hat trick with another goal to put Edinboro up by two. At 67:16,
Chloe Work netted her first goal of the season off a pass by
Grace Kereky from midfield. With a win in hand,
Alexis Becker made it goal number seven for the Fighting Scots at the 80:49 mark.
