Box Score (New/Sortable Format) 2 ERIE, Pa. (September 25, 2015) – The Edinboro University volleyball team pushed it's win streak to nine games after winning both games on the opening day of the PSAC Crossover, hosted by Mercyhurst. The Fighting Scots improve to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC, the best start since the 2011 team started 11-1. The 12-1 start is the best for Edinboro during head coach
Missy Soboleski's 10-year tenure.
The Fighting Scots defeated Millersville 3-2 in the opening match of the day before also defeating Shippensburg 3-2 to close out day one of the PSAC Crossover.

EDINBORO DEF. MILLERSVILLE (19-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-21, 15-10)The Fighting Scots defeated Millersville in their first taste of PSAC action for the 2015 season, prevailing in five games. Sophomore
Challen Litwiler led the Edinboro attack with 19 kills in the match. Freshman
Megan Screptock and Junior
Victoria Severo also contributed 11 and 10 kills of their own respectively. Sophomore
Sydney Trathen paced the Edinboro attack with 30 assists. Senior
Marah Maycock led the Scots defensively with 22 digs. Severo also totaled 19 digs of her own and added a team-high three block solo.
EDINBORO DEF. SHIPPENSBURG (18-25, 25-14, 25-21, 22-25, 16-14)Edinboro earned it's second PSAC victory of the day defeating Shippensburg in another nail-biter, prevailing in five games. Litwiler once again led the Fighting Scots attack with 19 kills, while Severo added another 18. Trathen picked up 39 assists in the win. Defensively, Maycock again led the Fighting Scots with a team-high 16 digs. Litwiler contributed 15 digs of her own as well. Severo recorded five block assist in the contest. The match against Shippensburg is the ninth time in the past eleven years that they have gone into five sets and the fourth time the game has gone into extra points in the fifth set.
Edinboro is right back in action tomorrow to close out the PSAC Crossover. The Fighting Scots will begin play on Saturday at 12:30 p.m against Lock Haven before closing out the two-day Crossover in at 3:30 p.m. in a showdown with Pitt-Johnstown.
