CLARION, Pa. – Justin Ransel won three races and Luke Frederick added two wins as the Edinboro men's swimming team opened the season with a 146-72 loss on Saturday at Clarion. The Fighting Scots had beaten Clarion the last two times the two teams met.

Ransel won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.29 and the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.43, along with swimming a leg of the 200-yard medley relay. Frederick was also on the medley relay, along with winning the 100-yard breaststroke (59.56). Marcus Grosso and Daniel Peng completed the foursome on the medley relay.    

Edinboro is back in action next weekend, competing in the Westminster Relays on Friday, October 21, and at Indiana(Pa.) on Saturday, October 22.
