Hot-Shooting Indiana (Pa.) Hands Edinboro its Third Straight Defeat

INDIANA, Pa. (February 6, 2016) – The Fighting Scots were unable to overcome a hot-shooting Indiana (Pa.) squad on Saturday, as the Crimson Hawks turned in 94 points with 11 3-pointers to hand Edinboro its third straight defeat by a 94-73 decision at Kovalchick Complex. The Scots' three-game skid is their longest this season as they dropped to 12-9 overall and 11-7 in the PSAC. IUP extended their winning streak to 12 games and continue to lead the PSAC West at 17-5 and 14-3, respectively. Edinboro stands at third in the western division.

He now has 131 free throws for the season, eight away from the single-season school record. Mason also finished tied with Mikael Anderson for a team-high six rebounds and had five assists. Senior guard Henri Wade-Chatman played only 10 minutes in the first half due to foul trouble and was held scoreless, attempting just one field goal in the first 20 minutes. The PSAC's fourth-leading scorer came back to tally 16 markers in the second half, moving into 13th all-time at Edinboro in career scoring with 1,285 points. He finished shooting 6-for-13 from the field.

Indiana (Pa.) led by as much as 13 points in the opening half, taking a 48-35 lead at the break. Brandon Norfleet put IUP ahead for good with a jumper on their ensuing possession with 17:25 remaining in the half for an 8-7 lead.
