st career victory. Notre Dame fell to 5-4 while seeing its five-match winning streak snapped.
Challen Litwiler
Soboleski is in her 12
th season as the head coach of the Fighting Scots, and has now compiled a 261-145 record during that period. She moved past Dr. Patrick McLane for the career record in victories. McLane coached Edinboro from a 1972-85, with the exception of 1979, and had a 260-144-3 record. Soboleski now has a career record of 394-319 in her 19
th season as a head coach.
After quick 25-13 win in the first set, the Fighting Scots rallied for a 25-23 win in set number two. Set number three ended with a similar score, but a much different scenario. Trailing 24-17, the Falcons ran off six straight points before Edinboro won on its seventh match-point thanks to a hitting error.

Megan Screptock, and
Challen Litwiler led the Fighting Scots with nine kills apiece.
Sydney Trathen ended the night with 31 assists, while
Hannah Cantrill had 19 digs. Litwiler and Screptock added 12 and 10 digs, respectively. Severo had five block assists.
Edinboro returns to action this weekend, making a two-match swing into New York. The Fighting Scots will play at LeMoyne on Friday, September 16, and at Saint Rose on Saturday, September 17.
