EDINBORO, Pa. (September 14, 2016) – The Edinboro University women's soccer team returns home Wednesday night for a PSAC match against Seton Hill. The contest gets underway at 6:00 p.m. at Sox Harrison Stadium. The match will be broadcast and streamed by WFSE and E-TV, Edinboro University's radio and television station.
The Fighting Scots are off to their best start since 2012 with a 4-0-0 overall record and a 3-0-0 PSAC mark. They received their highest-ever national ranking this week, coming in at number 11 in the latest NSCAA poll. Edinboro was picked second in the Atlantic Region. The Griffins are 1-2-1 in both categories.

Gary Kagiavas' team comes back to Edinboro after a two-match PSAC road trip, where they beat Shippensburg, 3-1, and rallied to defeat Millersville, 2-1. Edinboro trailed the Marauders, 1-0, early in the second half before sophomore defender
Abby Gillespie tied the match in the 65

Danielle Chatten provided the game-winner just 21 seconds later.
Kagiavas, who has led the Fighting Scots since the program began in 1996, is three wins away from his 200
th career win. He holds a 197-155-33 career record.
Chatten was named the PSAC Women's Soccer Co-Athlete of the Week on Monday following her two-goal, one-assist performance last week. The freshman leads the team with six points on two goals and two assists. Senior forward

Ashley Mutkus are tied for second with five points, all on two goals and one assist.
Junior goalkeeper
Sarah Baskey is 4-0-0 with a 0.75 GAA and a .517 save percentage. This comes following her record-breaking, 13-win season in 2015. Baskey is three wins away from cracking the top five in career wins in the Edinboro record books.
Edinboro is 5-0-0 in the all-time series with Seton Hill, and 3-0-0 since the Griffins joined the PSAC in 2013. They met previously in 1997 and 2002, where the Fighting Scots won both contests by a combined 11-2 score. Last year's contest was a 7-3 win by the Fighting Scots, which was their highest match goal total since 2008.
After beating Pitt-Johnstown, 3-1, to open the year, the Griffins went winless in their next three matches and scoreless in their last two. They played to a scoreless draw against California(Pa.) and fell, 3-0, to Kutztown on Saturday.
Sophomore forward and 2015 third-team All-PSAC selection Emily LoPresti leads the Griffins with four points on two goals. Sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Neill is 1-2-1 with a 1.66 GAA and a .750 save percentage.
