Edinboro can only hope the month of October goes as well as September did under first-year head coach
Justin Lustig. The Fighting Scots saw their three-game winning streak snapped last Saturday with a 56-28 loss to ninth-ranked Indiana(Pa.) in their PSAC West opener. Edinboro still comes in at 3-1 riding an offense that is averaging 39.2 ppg. Junior QB
Jake Sisson (Jamestown, N.Y./ Jamestown) has already thrown 16 touchdown passes, and accounted for 1,348 yards in total offense. Clarion rallied from a 28-7 third-quarter deficit to win at Mercyhurst last weekend. The Golden Eagles scored 28 unanswered points and survived a Mercyhurst touchdown in the final seconds, as the Lakers failed on a two-point conversion attempt in a 35-34 Clarion win. The Golden Eagles have a standout quarterback of their own in Connor Simmons. The senior has thrown for 1,234 yards and 10 TDs. Clarion is celebrating Homecoming on Saturday. The game is the first of four that will be televised by the SportsFever Television Network, and can be seen nationally on ESPN3.
