EDINBORO, Pa. -- The Edinboro volleyball team honored its five seniors in their last regular-season home match before sweeping Cheyney 25-6, 25-4, 25-10 in PSAC action at McComb Fieldhouse.

Sydney Trathen were recognized for their commitment to Fighting Scot volleyball. Litwiler and sophomore
Raichelle Erman each had eight kills to pace the Fighting Scots. Edinboro improves to 16-8 and 6-7 in the PSAC while Cheyney falls to 0-21 and 0-14 in conference play.
The Fighting Scots are now 15-0 all-time against Cheyney and hold a 45-0 set record against the Wolves
Edinboro used a run of nine and six to distance themselves early in the first set. The Fighting Scots jumped out to the 15-1 lead to start and holding Cheyney to just one kill in the first set.
After the Wolves kept it close early in the second set with Edinboro leading 6-3, Edinboro would go on a 16-0 run with redshirt sophomore
Abigail Horner running off four aces in five points during that span. Kills by Litwiler and Sikora would finish the set 25-4. Edinboro had 11 kills on 13 attacks and no errors during the set for a .846 attack percentage. It marked the highest attack percentage in a single-set in program history.
Cheyney would pull to within seven at 13-6 midway through the third set before Edinboro used a 12-4 run highlighted by a block assist by Litwiler and Erman and a junior
Morgyn Sharp kill to win the set 25-10.
The Fighting Scots finished with 37 kills and only six errors for a team season-high .463 hitting percentage. The Edinboro defense held Cheyney to the lowest attack percentage for an opponent (-.167). Trathen and sophomore
Jordan Van Oss both reached double-digit assists with 20 and 10, respectively. The 14 services aces is the fourth highest for the Fighting Scots in program history. Three of the top four spots now are against Cheyney. Litwiler lead Edinboro on the defensive side of the net with seven digs and a block assist.
Edinboro returns to the road next weekend for a pair of matchups with Kutztown and East Stroudsburg on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, respectively.
