  • The Short Story: The Edinboro volleyball team fell, 3-0, on the road to Seton Hill in the middle leg of a three-match road trip on Saturday. The Fighting Scots move to 8-8 overall and 1-5 in the PSAC Northwest while the Griffins improve to 9-6 and 3-2 in the PSAC Southwest.  
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Griffins took the first two sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-21.
  • Edinboro looked to come back with a 4-1 run midway through the third set tying the score at 12-12.
  • Edinboro would knot the score two more times at 13-all and 17-all.
  • The Fighting Scots would take their first lead at 22-19 thanks to a five-point run. Edinboro had a pair of set points leading 24-22.
  • The Griffins would score the final two points in extra play to take the set 27-25.
BY THE NUMBERS
  • Cierah Jackson led the Fighting Scots with 10 kills. The freshman has had double-digit kills nine times this season.
  • Freshman Alicia Eldredge led Edinboro with 24 assists. It marked the 15th time this season she has reached 20 assists and the 13th in a row.
  • Sophomore Jessica Giannoccaro had a pair of service aces for Edinboro.
  • Fellow sophomore Molly Breier had a team-high eight digs against the Griffins.
NEXT FOR THE FIGHTING SCOTS
  • Edinboro will play a mid-week match on the road on Tuesday, October 2 at Slippery Rock at 7:00 p.m. The Rock sit at 4-10 overall and are 1-5 in the PSAC Southwest. They dropped a pair of 3-0 losses this weekend at California(Pa.) and Seton Hill.
