HOW IT HAPPENED

During the run, Michaela Barnes and Allison Thompson each picked up their second fouls of the game.
  • Walton ended the Edinboro drought with a 7-0 run of her own, scoring on a jumper, layup, and a 3-pointer spanning 55 seconds. In the final two minutes of the frame, Michelle Jahn picked up her second and third fouls. That put four Fighting Scots on the bench in early foul trouble.
  • The Fighting Scots opened the second quarter down 23-20, but used a 7-1 run to knot the game at 24-24. Sarah Fischer drilled a 3-pointer, Bridgette Shaffer laid in a basket, and Walton converted two more free throws. Edinboro never gained the lead, but trailed by no more than six points in the frame.
  • After trailing 33-29 at the half, Rosten scored a layup with 7:36 remaining for the first Fighting Scot points of the stanza. Bloomsburg's Emma Saxton laid in a basket on the other end, which would start an 18-8 Husky run to end the quarter.
  • With just over three minutes remaining in the game, Jahn trimmed Edinboro's deficit to single digits to 63-54 with a pair of free throws. The Fighting Scots got to within seven points at the 66-59 mark of the fourth quarter.
