  • The Game Story:  Playing once again without All-PSAC West guard Anthony Coleman, Edinboro put a scare into defending PSAC champion East Stroudsburg before suffering an 86-76 loss while starting a stretch of four straight games at home. The contest was a rematch of last year's PSAC Tournament semifinal matchup, which ESU won 98-75. The Warriors posted their sixth straight win thanks to a relentless press that hounded the Fighting Scots all day, leading to 30 turnovers. ESU had a 30-11 advantage in points off turnovers, and a 46-22 edge in points in the paint. But after falling behind by 11 points at the half at 49-38, and by 15 points at 56-41 early in the second half, the Fighting Scots fought their way back into the game. a 9-0 run capped by a pair of Jaryn Simpson 3-pointers pulled the Scots to within 59-55, and the East Stroudsburg lead was still just four points at 68-64 with 9:19 to play. The Fighting Scots would turn the ball over three times over the next two-plus minutes as ESU byuilt the lead back to nine at 75-66. Edinboro never got closer than seven points the rest of the way. Simpson would lead Edinboro with 28 points, his fourth game of 20-or-more points in 2018-19.
