EDINBORO, Pa. – The Edinboro women's lacrosse team suffered its fourth straight loss on Wednesday with a 15-2 loss to Gannon in a PSAC contest at Sox Harrison Stadium. The loss leaves Edinboro at 3-5 overall and 0-4 in the PSAC. Gannon improved to 3-2 and 2-1, respectively.

The Lady Knights wasted little time in getting on the scoreboard, with Leilani King scoring 30 seconds into the match. It would be the first of seven straight goals for Gannon to start the match. King accounted for three of those and Erin Rotondo had two.

Sophie DePalma broke that string with a goal at 17:43 to make it 7-1. It was DePalma's 20th goal of the season, tying the freshman for the team lead. Gannon would score three more goals before the end of the half to take a 10-1 lead at intermission.

The Lady Knights would tack on the first three goals of the second half to build their lead to 13-1. Stephanie Chido notched Edinboro's second goal with an unassisted goal at 14:46, her eighth goal of the season. The two goals are the fewest since 2012, when Edinboro scored one goal against Lock Haven. King and Rotondo added goals for Gannon to end the scoring.

King finished with five goals and three assists, while Rotundo had five goals and a pair of assists. Gannon finished with 32 shots compared to 18 for Edinboro. Candace McDole started in goal for Edinboro and played just over 48 minutes. She finished with nine saves. Kaitlyn Binotto finished up in goal and had one save.
