  • The Short Story: Edinboro came in looking for a split of its two-game eastern trip, along with seeing Cierah Jackson reach 1,000 career kills. Neither would happen, as Shippensburg defeated Edinboro in three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-13. Jackson, meanwhile, appeared well on her way to becoming the 13th Fighting Scot with 1,000 kills, but she would end the day with 8 kills to boost her career total to 997. Molly Breier had a season-high 23 digs. The Fighting Scots were forced to turn around in less than 24 hours to face a Shippensburg team that is now 17-4 overall and 9-1 in the PSAC Southeast after playing Shepherd, a team with just one loss, yesterday. Edinboro now returns home lo host a pair of matches this weekend. They play Clarion on Friday, October 25 at 6 p.m., followed by a match vs. Slippery Rock on Saturday, October 26 at 3 p.m. .
