HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Jontay Walton connected on three 3-pointers in the opening quarter in the first two periods. Her first basket was the opening points of the contest just 10 seconds in. Walton drilled her second 3-pointer, followed by a Ciara Rosten jumper and a three from Monica Brown. Walton made her third 3-pointer of the quarter and Rosten capitalized on her second jumper of the run. Michaela Barnes capped off the run with a layup, putting the Fighting Scots on top, 18-5. Edinboro's first-quarter run put the Fighting Scots on top for the rest of the contest.
  • Edinboro led 28-13 after the first period behind 9-of-19 shooting overall. Five of their baskets came from behind the arc, and they went 5-of-5 at the free throw line.
