The Short Story:Â Â
Kandyce Graham scored three goals for the Edinboro women's lacrosse team, but it was not enough as they fell 13-7 to Roberts Wesleyan on the road Tuesday afternoon. The Redhawks opened with seven goals and led 9-1 at the half. Despite scoring six goals and holding Roberts Wesleyan to just four, Edinboro ultimately fell, 13-7. The Fighting Scots fell to 0-4 on the season while the Redhawks improved to 8-1. Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Roberts Wesleyan scored the first seven goals of the contest, including a man-down goal just over 10 minutes into the game.
- Anna Leva scored her sixth goal of the season with 5:18 left in the first half, unassisted. It was the first man-up goal for the Fighting Scots this season. RWC closed out the first half with a pair of goals for the 9-1 lead.
- Both Mary Uplinger and Kandyce Graham found the back of the cage within the first seven minutes of the second half to cut the Redhawks lead to 9-3. Both goals were unassisted.
- RWC answered with four straight goals to push the lead to 10.
- Leva, Graham and Desiree Doucette all scored in the final five minutes. Leva started at the 5:06 mark while Graham and Doucette scored within 30 second of each other at 2:24 and 1:59, respectively.
- Graham closed out the scoring at 1:19 with an assist to Uplinger.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Edinboro led the Redhawks 14-12 in shots in the second half, but RWC held the 41-19 advantage for the game.
- Candace McDole played all 60 minutes for the Fighting Scots making 18 saves, increasing her team lead to 45 for the season.
- Anna Leva recorded her sixth and seventh goals of the season against the Redhawks. The redshirt freshman led the team with eight points this year.
- Kandyce Graham more than doubled her goals on the season with a trio of balls that found the back of the cage. She brought her season total to five.
- Both teams had 11 draw controls for the game while Edinboro led in free-position shots (3-2).
- Five different Redhawks scored in the game, led by Taylor Nathan's four. Former Edinboro player Lindsey Brinkel scored once against her former team. Â Â

- Edinboro returns to action on Saturday, March 16 when they travel to Millersville in their first PSAC contest of the season. The Fighting Scots will be in search of a first win for first-year head coach LeighAnn Stauffer. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
