The Short Story: Anna Leva scored a hat trick in the first half and five total goals but it was not enough as the Edinboro women's lacrosse team dropped a PSAC contest on the road to Slippery Rock, 11-8. The five goals by Leva was a season-high and marked the fourth time this season she has scored three or more goals. The Fighting Scots fall to 1-11 overall and 1-7 in the PSAC while Slippery Rock moves to 5-6 overall and 4-4 in the PSAC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anna Leva scores just over two minutes into the game against Slippery Rock off an assist from Sophie DePalma. Tori Penders evens the match off a free position shot just 30 seconds later.
- Sidney Dobbins pushes the Fighting Scots ahead 2-1 with a free position goal with 22:36 left in the first half. Leva scores her second goal of the game to put Edinboro up 3-1 before ShyAnne Toomer pulls
- The Rock back within one less than a minute later at the 18:19 mark of the first half. Kandyce Graham pushed it back to a two-goal lead on a free position shot with 13:07 left in the first half.
- Jordan Grey and Tori Penders scored for The Rock to tie the game up at 4-4 with 10:26 left in half. Leva scores her second goal of the game to put Edinboro up 3-1 before ShyAnne Toomer pulls The Rock back within one less than a minute later at the 18:19 mark of the first half.
- Leva with her third goal of the game gives the Fighting Scots the lead once again, 5-4 with 2:10 left before the break. A late Rock goal evens the score at 5-5 at halftime.
- The Rock take their first lead of the game with a goal by Grey with 23:31 left in the game. Katie Dlugosz and Molly Buettner scored a pair of goals to push The Rock lead to three with 21:03 left in the second half.
- Leva scored her fourth goal of the game off a pass from Sidney Dobbins to pull Edinboro within two with 14:29 left in the game. Kelly Muenster again pushed Slippery Rock's lead back to three with 12:23 left.
- The Fighting Scots pulled within two once more with Leva's fifth goal of the game. After The Rock scored a goal, Mary Uplinger kept Edinboro in the game with her 10th goal of the season off a pass from Leva with the Fighting Scots trailing 10-8. Slippery Rock scored with just over a minute left and held on for the 11-8 win.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Anna Leva scored a game and season-high five goals against Slippery Rock. It was her fourth time this season scoring three or more goals. She had a hat trick against Millersville and Gannon and four goals against Seton Hill earlier this year.
- Mary Uplinger, Sidney Dobbins and Kandyce Graham all found the back of the cage for Edinboro. Dobbins and Graham scored off free position shots in the first half while Uplinger scored with an assist to Leva in the second.
- Candace McDole made 16 saves in the cage for Edinboro. Kaitlyn Binotto came in midway through the second half on a man-up situation for The Rock before McDole returned.
- McDole had a team-high six ground balls with Mary Uplinger and Katie Thoms tallying five and four, respectively.
- Seven different The Rock players scored in the game led by Jordan Grey's three goals. Haley Barrett made 13 saves for Slippery Rock, playing all 60 minutes in cage.
