HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edinboro grabbed a 2-0 lead with 27:42 left in the first half thanks to the efforts of Anna Leva and Desiree Doucette. Leva scored the first goal, her 20th, at 29:09, assisted by Doucette. The duo exchanged roles just over a minute later, with Doucetee registering her sixth goal, assisted by Leva.
- After an IUP timeout, the Crimson Hawks proceed to score 14 straight goals. The first 13 came in the first half as IUP led 13-2 at intermission. The lead expanded to 14-2 at the 28:12 mark of the second half as Ally Burrows scored her sixth goal during the run.
- Edinboro would end the string as Leva scored her second goal with 26:10 to play, assisted by Sophie DePalma The Fighting Scots would make it two of the next three goals. After an IUP goal, the Scots pulled to 15-4 on a free position goal by Mary UIplinger.
- IUP halted any comeback hopes by the Fighting Scots with the next three goals.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Anna Leva and Kandyce Graham eached scored a pair of goals to lead Edinboro, with Leva adding an assist. Mary Uplinger and Desiree Doucette had a goal and an assist apiece, while Sophie DePalma was credited with an assist.
- Nine different ploayers scored for IUP, led by Ally Burrow's six goals. Adriana Greco and Shannon Hartigan scored three goals each.
- IUP held a 33-18 advantage in shots, although it was just 9-8 in the second half. Edinboro had 18 turnovers and IUP 10.
- A total of five players saw action in goal. Candace McDole started for the Fighting Scots and played into the 50th minute, finishing with 11 saves. Kaitlyn Binotto would play the rest of the contest, with one save. Carly Mansur played the first half in goal for the Crimson Hawks, totaling six saves to pick up the win.
