  • Edinboro is hosting the Rebich Investments Invitational for the third straight year. The Fighting Scots finished with a 14-14 record a year ago.  Head coach Missy Soboleski enters her 15th year as Edinboro's head coach and holds the career record for victories with 317.  All told, she has compiled a 450-352 record while serving as a head coach for 24 years. She previously served as head coach at Mercyhurst and Gannon before taking over at Edinboro in 2005. She has led Edinboro to eight NCAA Division II playoff berths. Soboleski ranks 22nd in Division II among active coaches in victories, and is third among PSAC coaches.
  • The Fighting Scots were picked to finish third in the PSAC's Northwest Division. Gannon was voted the preseason favorite in the division in the PSAC Coaches' Preseason Poll. The Northwest Division features five teams this year with the addition of Clarion, who moved from the Southwest Division with Shepherd joining the PSAC.
  • Soboleski welcomes back four starters, led by junior Cierah Jackson. The 5'8" outside hitter has earned second team All-PSAC honors while leading the Fighting Scots in kills each of her first two seasons. She enters her third year with 743 career kills. She had a team-leading 323 a year ago.
  • Alicia Eldredge enjoyed an outstanding season as a freshman starting at setter. She finished with a team-leading 916 assists, which ranks 13th in a season Edinboro. She ranked tenth in the PSAC in assists per set (8.88) and service aces per set (0.38). She had 40-or-more assists in eight matches.
  • Other returnees include sophomore middle hitter Sally Sterkel (236 kills, 79 total blocks), junior middle hitter Paige Morris (81 total blocks), and junior libero Molly Breier (347 digs).
  • The Fighting Scots welcome five teams to the Rebich Investments Invitational and will face four. Edinboro will not play Lock Haven. The Bald Eagles finished at 10-17 and play in the PSAC Central Division. The Fighting Scots open the tournament on Friday against a Salem team which was 9-31 a year ago. The end the first day of competition against Minnesota State-Moorhead. The Dragons were 11-16 in 2018.
