EDINBORO, PA - The Fighting Scots (8-5) were able to overcome an early Golden Eagles (4-7-1) goal to secure an important win as they enter the home stretch of games for the 2021 season.
Clarion went ahead in the game in the 15th minute through Kylee Cross, with her fifth goal of the season.
Edinboro were able to control possession for much of the game but would have to wait until the second half to make their pressure count.
Brittnie Spithaler scored the equalizing goal in the 59th minute of the game, scoring her fourth of the season. Cameron Bujnoski with the assist.
Edinboro continued to stay on the front foot and would only need to wait six minutes to be ahead in the game. Reece Enochs scored her third of the season which would be the eventual game winner . Brittnie Spithaler assisted, topping off a good performance from the senior.
The Fighting Scots had 21 shots in the game to Clarion's four. Edinboro were able to put an end to their three game streak without a win as they look ahead to their next game against Gannon University.
Edinboro will be back at Sox Harrison Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 27, Kickoff 6 p.m.
