Edinboro, Pa. – Edinboro faced tough opposition in Slippery Rock, falling to a 1-26 defeat on Saturday afternoon at Sox Harrison Stadium

Slippery Rock got out to an 11-0 lead after the first quarter. Emily Benham and Jamie DiCarlo were on form for the Rock both registering three goals. Benham added three assists to her name with DiCarlo adding one too.

The Fighting Scots kept pushing back forcing 11 turnovers in the game and gathering 12 groundballs. The third quarter saw Edinboro score a well-worked goal through Traci Culver scoring her fifth of the season. Sophia Bernardoni assisted with a well-placed pass that Culver took advantage of.

Kaitlyn Binotto had 12 saves in the game taking her total to 122. Gillian O'Rourke took the win in the cage for Slippery Rock taking her record to 8-6.

Edinboro returns to Sox Harrison Stadium on Tuesday afternoon as they face Mercyhurst, the game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
