Edinboro, Pa. -- The Edinboro women's soccer team fell 3-2 to visiting Slippery Rock Wednesday night in PSAC West action Wednesday night at Sox Harrison Stadium.
With the Scots trailing 2-1 entering the second half,
Jenna Jackson headed home a
Gabby Ellsworth corner just over four minutes in to level the game at 2-2.
Slippery Rock would score the eventual game-winner in the 63rd minute when the ball found the foot of Faith Diffenbacher off a scramble from a corner.
The Rock scored first when Sydney Patrick finished a cross from Bailey McGee in the eighth minute. Ashley Rea extended the lead with a long range goal from Patrick in the 26th minute.
Reece Enochs got the Scots on the board with her sixth tally of the season finishing a setup from
Clare Crossley in the 31st minute.
The shots in the game were level at 13 and even at eight on goal a piece.
Enochs took five shots including three on net to go with her goal.
Megan Malits and
Emily Vogel each took a pair of shots.
Kaylee Lauriel made five saves for the Scots taking the loss in net.
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they travel to IUP for a noon kickoff against the Crimson Hawks.
