Tiffin, Ohio – The Edinboro men's basketball team fell 78-55 to host Tiffin Saturday night in non-conference action.
The Scots built an early lead when
Bernie Blunt hit a 3-pointer at 14:29 of the first half making it 12-7. Tiffin answered with a 7-0 run to take a 14-12 lead at the 11:31 mark. Edinboro retook the lead with a 7-1 spurt to make it 19-15 with 10:08 left in the half.
The Dragons responded with a 15-1 run capped by a pair of KJ Pruitt free throws to give Tiffin a 30-20 advantage with 5:06 to play.
Daunte Wilcott snapped the drought for the Scots with a layup at the 5:00 mark. Tiffin scored the final eight points of the first half to take a 38-22 lead into the break.
Tiffin came out of the break and pushed the lead to 28, 54-26, and the Scots would get as close as 20 throughout the half.
Blunt paced the Edinboro offense with 16 points to go with five boards and two steals.
Jack Gallagher and Wilcott each tallied eight points.
Madior Seye led the Scots with eight boards.
Wesley Jordan led the Dragon offense with 18 points. Ian Lopez notched 15 points and six boards. Carius Key finished the night with 13 points and eight rebounds.
The Scots make their first appearance at McComb Fieldhouse on Tuesday when they host Roberts Wesleyan at 6 p.m.
