Indiana, Pa. – The Edinboro women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at IUP Friday night in PSAC West action.
 
Trailing 22-18 in the opening set, the Scots tallied four straight points keyed by a 
Kathryn Raschilla kill and 
Erika Lindqvist service ace to tie the game 22-22. The Crimson Hawks answered with three straight kills to take the opening set 25-22.
 
The second set was tied 3-3 after an IUP service error before the Crimson Hawks went on an 8-1 spurt to build an 11-4 lead. The Scots would trim the lead down to 14-8 after a 
Bella Burrelli kill, but IUP answered with six straight on their way to a 25-16 win in the set.
 
The Crimson Hawks jumped out 13-6 in the third set and held off the Scots for a 25-15 victory in the third.
 
Natalie Pallone led the Scots with six kills. Lindqvist and 
Makayla Neelands each tallied four. 
Laney Burns had a team-high 10 assists.
 
Carly Pry led the defense with 12 digs while 
Abigale Soboleski chipped in 10. Lindqvist and 
Kasey Smith each picked up two blocks.
 
The Scots are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Clarion for a 1 p.m. match with the Golden Eagles.
